Additionally, the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) oversees the licensing requirements for contractors. As of January 1, 2026, under Act 422, any person performing, bidding on, or advertising for residential roofing work on a residential structure with a project value of $7,500 or more must hold a specific Residential Roofing or Residential Construction license issued by the LSLBC.
