Wyoming County Building & Safety Division
The Wyoming County Building & Safety Division, also referred to as Wyoming County Building Codes, is the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for building permits and code enforcement throughout the county. Rules for Properties in Unincorporated Areas
A building permit is required for most construction work in unincorporated areas of Wyoming County. To obtain a permit, you must first confirm local zoning approval and obtain a zoning permit from the applicable town or village zoning authority. Then, submit the Wyoming County building permit application, a plot plan, required construction plans and specifications, and the appropriate fee to the Wyoming County Building Codes department.
